Areca nut palm trees are cultivated in India primarily because of their small fruits, the “betel nuts”. During its growth, the areca palm loses its leaves naturally 4-7 times a year. These leaves get collected, washed, and then are manually pressed into plates and bowls with the aid of pressure and heat impact.
